A comedy night that pays for itself.
A premium night of comedy, brought to your room. We handle the comics, the sound, the flyer, the ticketing and the door. You provide the room.
Two minutes and you're one step closer to comedy night.
Thinking about starting a comedy night at your bar or restaurant?
Ninety minutes with professional touring comedians, the same people who play Helium, Summit City and clubs around the country. Past bills have included Brent Terhune, Mandee McKelvey, Stewart Huff and Dwight Simmons.
What does it take to host comedy at your bar or restaurant?
A spot for one person to stand, a light on it, and a way to be heard. No stage, no green room, no experience. Laughing Pint provides the rest.
How it works

We build it and together we sell the show
We book the lineup, build the event and sell tickets. You get graphics for your page.

Why it is built this way. A flat guarantee pays for quality comedians whatever the door does. Everything above it comes out of tickets, which is why we are the ones working to fill your room.
It has to be ticketed. Tickets are what bring your guarantee down. Open door is possible, but it costs more, because there is no gate to offset it.

It was an amazing time. I can't believe how much fun it was.
We had a full room, a busy bar, and people asking when we're doing it again.
It's been a while since the place felt that lively on a Thursday. I'd be happy to have them back.
I was skeptical about putting on a comedy show. Now I'm wondering why we haven't tried it sooner.

Taprooms, breweries, event halls and fundraisers. Whatever the room, we've likely run a show in one like it.
Ready to put comedy in your room?
Two minutes. Tell us about the space and the nights that work, and we'll be back within a day with dates and a lineup.
Comics you'd pay to see, booked by people who know the difference
Laughing Pint is run by working stand-ups with more than a decade of producing live shows. We know which comics kill in a bar and which only work in a club, because we've played both.
Every lineup is professional touring comedians, the same people who play Helium, Louisville Comedy Club, Summit City, Planet of the Tapes and White Rabbit Cabaret. No open-mic filler. If we wouldn't buy a ticket, we don't book them.
Pick a night. We'll handle the rest.
Only your name, email and venue are required. No obligation, and nobody calls unless you ask.
Got it, thanks.
We read every one of these ourselves. You will hear back within a day with dates and a lineup, or a straight answer about why it is not a fit.
FAQ
What is this going to cost me?
You guarantee $400 and every ticket sold comes off it. At $20 a ticket that is twenty tickets; sell fewer and you cover the difference. $400 is your ceiling, known before you agree to anything, and it is the same whether you book one date or twelve.
We don't have a stage. Or a sound system. Or any idea what we're doing.
That is the normal case. You need a spot to stand, a light on it, and a way to be heard. We always bring the sound, and it is covered by the $400.
What if nobody shows up?
Then you cover the guarantee, and that's the most it can ever cost you. The guarantee is what lets us book real touring comics and put real promotion behind the night, and we both work to fill the room so ticket sales take care of it. Rooms tend to find their crowd over a few dates rather than on night one.
Is it going to be filthy? We're a family place until nine.
We can cater to any environment, but the default is a room full of adults, so expect adult language unless you tell us otherwise. Want it clean, or somewhere in between? Say so and it goes in the booking brief every comic gets.
How often would we do this?
Whatever suits you. One date, every month, or anything between. Weekends, private parties and fundraisers work the same way.
Does it have to be one of our slow nights?
No. Plenty of rooms run it on a Friday, when their people are already out and a show gives them a reason to stay.
Keep in mind it is ticketed. Anyone without a ticket cannot take part, and if the show runs in the main part of your bar, they cannot be in that space while it is on. Worth weighing for a night you would normally be busy anyway.
How far out do you book?
Four weeks minimum, six to eight is better. Any tighter and there is not enough runway to sell tickets properly.
Do our customers have to buy a ticket?
Yes, and that is what brings your guarantee down. Usually $15 to $25, sold in advance and at the door, against $25 to $30 plus a two-drink minimum at a club. If the show is in your main room, everyone in it needs a ticket, which we plan with you in advance. Open door is possible, but it costs more.
What counts against the guarantee?
Paid tickets, advance or at the door. Comps and guest list do not. We run the ticketing, count it with you on the night, and settle before we load out. No invoices, no chasing.
Where do you travel?
All through the Midwest, based in Indianapolis. Tell us where you are and we will say straight away whether the date works.
We're not a bar. Will this still work for us?
Yes. In ten years we have played event halls, breweries, corporate nights, fundraisers, and everywhere from funeral homes to swingers clubs. What matters is the room, not the liquor license.
Can we just try one and see?
Yes. Most rooms start with one date. We will tell you honestly if we do not think your room is a fit.
